1. Who We Are

TheLocalFund (thelocalfund.co.uk) is a platform that connects donors with local community projects, charities, and good causes. We operate prize draws to incentivise donations and support local initiatives. All prize draws on our platform are promoted and operated by TheLocalFund.

2. Eligibility

To use our services or enter any prize draw, you must:

• Be a resident of the United Kingdom.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Provide accurate and truthful information.
• Not be an employee or immediate family member of an employee of TheLocalFund.

3. Donations and Tickets

When you donate to a project via TheLocalFund, you may receive free prize draw tickets as a thank‑you. The number of tickets is clearly shown before you donate. Tickets are also available completely free of charge by post – see clause 4.

Donations are processed securely and, after deducting a small platform fee, are passed directly to the named project. TheLocalFund is not responsible for how project organisers spend the funds.

4. Free Postal Entry

In accordance with UK law, you may enter any prize draw operated by TheLocalFund free of charge by post. To enter:

• Send a postcard or letter with your full name, address, email (if you have one), and the name of the specific project draw you wish to enter.
• Include one first‑class stamp to cover postage (this is not an entry fee).
• Address it to: TheLocalFund, [Project Name], Freepost [details on project page].
• Entries must be received by the published deadline.

Postal entries have the same chance of winning as entries obtained through donations.

5. Draw Mechanics and Winners

Each prize draw has a specific closing date and draw date, clearly displayed on the project page. Winners are selected at random by an independent, verified process. Winners will be contacted using the details provided within 14 days of the draw. If a winner does not respond within 28 days, they forfeit the prize and an alternative winner may be selected.

Prizes are as described on the project page and are non‑transferable. No cash alternative is available unless explicitly stated.

6. Your Responsibilities

By using TheLocalFund, you agree:

• Not to use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
• Not to attempt to manipulate any draw or donation process.
• To provide accurate contact information.
• To respect other users and project organisers.

7. Limitation of Liability

TheLocalFund is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the platform, your participation in a prize draw, or any interaction with a project organiser. We do not guarantee the quality or delivery of prizes offered by third parties. Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page. Continued use of TheLocalFund after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
